This is not only the best PnS, it's the best grocery store in town! I can't say enough about the atmosphere, food quality, or customer service. I love, love, love the deli! We go there all the time! Get the shrimp salad or grilled vegetables - YUMMM! We had our wedding cake made there and got TONS of compliments! It was delicious and beautiful! I also had my wedding bouquet made there. Just told her over the phone what I wanted, and it FAR exceeded my expectations -- GORGEOUS!!! We really enjoy going on Saturday or Sunday when they have live music. And in the summer, they have the grill outside and you can enjoy burgers on the ""patio""!!! The homemade sausage is to die for, too! I LOVE THIS STORE!!!

Their turkey's selection is the best and includes the farm free range raised and after baking they are tender juicy and exceptionally tasty. They carry a large selection of very high quality wines and they have a tasting counter, where you can taste many wines for just $2 fee. Even their shopping bags have a distinctive quality, not found in other supermarkets.

We wanted food to take on a picnic hike in a nearby canyon and didn't feel like stopping at a restaurant to get take out. Dan's Food Market is a small, family owned grocery store that has great prepared foods, a home bakery and a deli. We found great food and a really reasonable price here. I'm hoping the fact that they have prepared foods will qualify it as a restaurant for Tripadvisor.

paid $3.00 higher on the mark up per bottle - DO NOT SHOP HERE! know your prices, this is a marked up package store. A shame as the bakery is fantastic. Will never return to the package store. In the long run they are losing business - I would have regularly bought here. Huge mark ups on liquor here in Shelton. Font's in Derby is the place to shop - prices are far lower. $3.00 per item mark up is unacceptable.

Sheesh, is this place expensive! When I go there, it's like a ghost town - no customers, no employees until you get to check-out. One star for fast check out. Breads are good, salad bar is OK. If you're looking for European butter, you can find it here, but you will dearly pay for it. And do I REALLY need to look at Eli Zabar's face all over the walls? I met him once in the store and he's unfriendly, so no thank you.

AVOID. Poor produce, and many outdated items. I am trying to avoid going here at all costs. Kwik Trip for milk,bread, and eggs. Walmart for boxed/canned food and cleaning supplies. Bucky's for my meat. I live across the street from Pick n save, and will make 3 separate stops to avoid going in. Funny thing is, I am actually saving money compared to when I purchased all of my items at Pick n Save. Been a dedicated shopper for over 12 years, but can't keep giving my money away.
