He was very nice, my wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses looked beautiful but his customer service was horrendous. He made my wedding gown, 6 bridesmaid dresses, and altered my rehearsal dinner dress. Please see details below: It was extremely stressful to work with him because he didn't meet any of his deadlines. He had made me a bridesmaid dress, because I really liked the design, and was supposed to have it altered to fit me before I left for the wedding. Unfortunately, he didn't complete it by his deadline and said he would mail it to me. When I arrived back in the UK, after the wedding, I tried the skirt on, because I wanted to bring it with me on the honeymoon, and he never even altered it. When I questioned him about this he didn't respond and I ended up having to pay someone to alter it for me which was extremely frustrating because I had already paid for the alterations. Furthermore, he was supposed to alter my rehearsal dinner dress and send it in the mail to my house 2 weeks before the wedding so that I could get it pressed. When the dress didn't arrive I phoned him and he told me that he had mailed it regular mail. Sadly it was 6 days before the rehearsal and it wouldn't arrive in time. The day after the phone call I sent him an email telling him how upset I was because I had to buy a brand new dress. He then wrote back saying that he never actually mailed it and asked me if I would like it sent next day. I didn't want to risk this so I had a friend pick it up and bring it with her to the wedding, and I therefore had to wear the dress wrinkled because it arrived the day before the rehearsal and I didn't have time to get it pressed. Another issue that upset me was that my wedding gown wasn't exactly as I had wanted it when I walked out with it. Sadly, I had to take the dress because he didn't finish it in time for me to make further alterations on it. When I had agreed to have him make the gown back in August 2010 he had said that I wouldn't leave the shop, or pay for the final payment, until the gown was exactly as I had wanted it. There was no excuse for the dress being made at the last minute since he had known about it 1 year in advance and had received all of the fabric 6 months before the wedding. Furthermore he was unable to get the blood out of the dress that he got on it while sewing it. Additionally 1 bustle broke before I even made it to the reception and an additional 2 broke during the reception. As for the bridesmaid dresses, 3 of the girls skirts and corsets were extremely large. One girl had to have her skirt taken in so much that the seamstress had to remove the pockets altogether. The cost for these alterations were over 100 dollars/girl. I don't understand how the skirt and corset could have been so large on these women when he had their exact measurements. All 3 of the girls skirts were 6 inches too large. Overall, the dresses looked great but I wouldn't use him unless you lied about when everything was due, and even then he's not reliable. There are plenty of quality people in California who could make your dress by the deadline. It's not worth the stress or agrivation. I WAS SOOO PLEASED WITH THEIR EXTRA EFFORT TO PLEASE THE CLIENT...I WILL ONLY BUY FROM KAROZA even though I LIVE IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY!",plansforyou,06/01/2009,one,"My bridesmaids bought their """"Jim Hjelm"""" dresses with Karoza because their prices were significantly lower compared to other places and unfortunately, we highly regret it. Karoza did not communicate to us that the reason the dress was cheaper with them was because they were removing an essential piece of cloth that went underneath the dress (which is what made the dress hang and drape so beautifully in the first place). In addition, the intricate, sweetheart-shaped bodice was so poorly sewn and horribly disfigured - it looked like a 3 year-old had constructed it. We had to find expert seamstresses to try to correct the horrid mess. The material WAS NOT satin-faced taffeta like advertised in the Jim Hjelm brochure & what Karoza had promised - instead it was just a cheap-looking taffeta. 3 of the girls took their dresses to 3 different seamstresses for alterations -- all 3 seamstresses concluded that indeed the material was not satin-faced taffeta & the construction was not professional -- only feeding my own frustration even more! MaryLynn's in Pasadena had given me a sample of the REAL material mailed from the Jim Hjelm studio in NYC and it was not the same as the girls' bridesmaids dresses from Karoza. To top it off, the color was completely off. Yes pretty much everything was wrong. I'm not sure if what they did was make the dresses themselves, sew on a Jim Hjelm tags, and sell it to us cheaper this way, but that is certainly what it felt like. I wouldn't recommend Karoza, if you want peace of mind, go with Mary Lynn's even if it is more expensive! A bride has enough to stress about as it is! It was sadly disappointing - I guess you get what you pay for."

When she went back after 3 weeks, she had lost more weight (not trying to) and they had to take the dress up on the sides again. She picked the dress up with her wedding being only two weeks later. She tried the dress on again the Friday night before her Sunday wedding and she had lost more weight so the dress was basically falling off her. On Saturday I called Young's explaining this to them. Without hesitation she told my daughter to bring the dress in for fitting and she would stay after closing to work on it. Saturday night at 8p.m. I picked up the dress for the next days big event. It fit perfectly and was beautiful. Young's was there to make sure the dress fit perfectly even after they had to alter her dress 3 times. My daughter looked stunning thanks to all of Young's hard work and willingness without hesitation to stay late just to work on my daughters dress. The pattern on my dress was really unique so it ended up being a very complicated dress to alter.
