While in court, Mr Pigeon made another generous offer, 100 dollars- I declined. While in front of the magistrate and everyone else, I showed pictures of me in my coats and everyone could see the coats fit me and were in GREAT shape. I then put the coats on in front of everyone and they could see that the coats were several inches above my waist and the sleeves were half way up my forearms. What happened next was as bad if not worse than having 2 beautiful, expensive leather coats DESTROYED. The court officer ruled against me. They must be golfing buddies. Moral of the story, NEVER bring your dry cleaning to CAPE WAY CLEANERS and get new golfing buddies.",,,,

I just want to express my extreme displeasure with Gunderson Cleaners. My wife and I have taken lots of items to Gunderson for cleaning and have had nothing but bad experiences. You have ruined two of my wife's dresses, lost an item completely, and most recently destroyed another. You continue to claim that it is a manufacturer's defect when an item is destroyed in the cleaning process despite the tag specifying ""dry clean only."" If the item can't handle dry cleaning, they would specify to ""hand wash only."" If I bring something to a DRY CLEANER to be cleaned per the manufacturer's specification, and it comes back destroyed, there is no way blame can be put on the manufacturer. The blame must fall on the company that destroys the item...Gunderson Cleaners. Congratulations to management for training the employees to not use their brains and recognize that logic. You've successfully given your company and customer service a horrible reputation, which is an incredible action given the many different choices in local dry cleaners. One would think you'd try a little harder to keep your customers happy, since good service rarely spreads by word of mouth but horrible experiences such as ours spread like wildfire. We will continue to bring our business to your competitors, and speak very poorly about your organization to everyone we know. I only hope that this email is read by a real human with a brain that can comprehend logic and not an automated email generation system, and that some eyes open to how tremendously flawed your system and customer service is. Drycleaned twice before/never a problem until Chris French ruined it. 3. I asked them to simply mend some jeans. They stupidly drycleaned them instead. No mending. I noticed before I left and brought it to the clerks attention. Without any apology whatsoever, he hands the pants to the ancient tailor and assures me that it 'will only take 10 minutes.' Nevermind that I needed to be somewhere quickly and didnt have 10 minutes to sit there and wait. Also, nevermind the fact that it was the second time I stopped in to pick up my clothes since they didn't have it done on time when I came earlier that day..! All this bad service and ruined clothing cost me nearly $50. I would get much better service and results for $20 less at my regular drycleaner. Or almost any other drycleaner in town. Not only horrible service and results, but horribly overpriced as well. Probably one of my worst experiences in a business in NYC. Never again! Boycott this nightmare place!"
