We knew that Dr. Shanan had a lot of experience with end of life consultations. We discussed Brody's quality of life and after a lot of crying we decided to put him to sleep. It was one of the hardest things my husband and I have ever done. I was nervous about my decision as the doctor gave the sedative. After a few seconds, Brody completely relaxed in my husband's arms.
