My requests for follow where completely ignored. In fact, the only communication was to send me a bill with finance charges for an incomplete job. I ended up having a local contractor complete the job. Completely dissatisfied.

Wow, I don't know where to begin. Buying my first home was an amazing accomplishment and a struggle all at the same time. After having Ultra Floors come in and take a look, we knew we could do what we needed within our budget and give the house our own special touch. I will go phase to phase on what they did for us. When we were closing on the house we immediately asked for the stores owner Shawn Jones to come in and take a look. He is the third generation owner and KNOWS his field. Ultra Floors holds a Michigan builders and Contract license and are insured and will fix the problem if something goes wrong. Had to add this because I have seen too many times (father was in construction) something goes wrong and whoever did the job suddenly disappears. He immediately noticed the run down floors from years of improper care and dogs. He also noticed water damage to some boards due to a faulty window which had been replaced. He gave us a plethora of options on what he could do for us. We decided to sand the floors down and stain them. The price for this annihilated competition as their is a big need for this throughout the Metro Detroit area. We went with a dark brown to give the newly installed white crown and base (done by brother-in-law, ask for referral) molding that special pop. All of these things done were strategically orchestrated by Ultra Floors. Ripped out carpet, fixed floor boards, floor board treatment due to animal damage, removal of baseboards, wood floor sanded, wood floor stained, crown molding installed, new baseboards put in, wainscoting (beautiful) in dining room, all trims painted, new tile in all 3 bathrooms and laundry room (duraceramic installed by Ultrafloors), shoe molding installed, painting of all bases and crown (Ultra Floors contracted guy who demolishes PROFESSIONAL painters competition price), painting of doors and walls, and finally the finishing touch, the carpet which was Dream Weaver. I hate to skip so much detail (longest review ever), but it is important to talk about the carpet. My wife went in 3 times to find the texture, feel, and look. The staff was phenomenal letting us take home samples to figure what was right for us. I could honestly sleep the entire night on what we choose. I haven't gone all night, but have been known for a ciesta or two after a long day at work or golfing.

No longer a company I can recommend. Have used Roy Lomas for over 30 years for various locations and projects. Over the last year, dealing with Roy Lomas has become extremely arduous and devoid of customer communication and follow-through. They repeatedly fail to return calls, missed scheduled appointments, and have lost our paperwork. I have worked with these guys for over 30 years however because they are "not computerized", they lack any organization and prior customer data. I have chased them again recently trying to get someone back out to "re-measure" for a whole house project because they lost measurements from a visit a few months ago. There not only is a complete lack of organization with this company but there is also a complete breakdown in communication. When I called again, I repeatedly explained someone had been out previously, they had been my carpet and hard floor vendor for over 30 years, and I am frustrated that I am unable to get this project completed. The sales person I spoke to over phone was extremely indifferent and could care less, suggesting I stop by showroom again? Huh? I tried to explain again we have already done that many times and now I need someone to measure again because they lost paperwork and measurements. He said "NO", won't send someone out until we stop by showroom. Guy was completely clueless and just wasn't listening. Roy Lomas used to have their act together but they no longer do. Beware of this company as they NO LONGER care about their customer service!

There were ripples in my 20 year old carpet. I called Roy Lomas Carpets and they sent out a technician to stretch the carpet. He did an amazing job. He pulled up the carpet at the wall and pulled it across the room. I was in shock at how the carpet moved and the ripples went flat. The technician explained that depending how long the carpet was rippled, even though the carpet was flat it may be creased. He explained that with vacuming and light cleaning the creases should come out. He removed all large pieces of pad and carpet then asked it I had a vacumm to get the small pieces. I told him I would take care of the clean up. After we vacummed and put the furniture back, the carpet looked like it had just been laid. I would call Roy Lomas Carpets for any service I need on my carpet in the future. The service was done in a professional manner, they worked around my schedule, showed up when they said they would and the price was reasonable.

I purchased a really beautiful bedroom set at a great price! I loved working with Denise and she made my buying experience amazing! On the date of delivery I was assigned a time of 12 to 3 pm. At 3:15 pm I received a call from a delivery representative stating that their delivery truck is behind. I expressed to him that an earlier call would have been appreciated. He proceeded to go back and forth with me stating that a call period was a courtesy, the delivery was free anyway, В“it is what it isВ”, and they donВ’t give away free money. An apology for the late notice would have sufficed! ThatВ’s the only thing I believe is due to a paying customer. I wonВ’t be shopping with them again!

We were in very bad need of a mattress. Our old one was 12 years old and causing us back problems. We called a few places and they wanted to charge a delivery charge AND charge to take the old mattress away. So, my husband decided to call Carol House. He spoke to Jonathan K. who was very nice and helpful. Right away he said delivery is free and it is free to haul the old mattress away. We did not want to shop in person so my husband asked if we could purchase the mattress over the phone. (At some places you cannot). He said sure you can! We looked online and found the one we wanted and put 20 percent down via credit card. The rest to pay ( cash or check) upon delivery. The salesman made it clear to my husband several times that the sale is final once it is delivered. No returns. At first he gave my husband a delivery date of about a week after the order. Jonathan then talked to his boss and said they could deliver it in two days! We were happy to hear that. A lady called the day before and gave a three hour delivery window for the afternoon. The next day the delivery guys came a little before 2p.m. They were polite and watched for the door frames as so not to damage anything. I never saw two delivery guys so careful. They wrapped the old mattress with the plastic wrap from the new mattress. We paid them and they were on their way. It is a very good quality mattress. The salesman warned my husband it might take over 30 days to get used to. I think 30 MINUTES to get used to was more like it! No more back aches and sleepless nights. Carol House is a bit pricey but like the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". After all, we did business with Carol House "because we like nice things" This was our first purchase from Carol House but I doubt if it will be our last.. P.S. Driven by the store hundreds of times and always wanted to go in. Really surprised by how big it is inside and how many piles of rugs they have. DidnВ’t know they have a second floor with furniture too. They told us that they design and make their own handmade rugs overseas and sell them around the world and that they have several warehouses. We bought two great rugs one for our living room and the other round rug for our entrance. I want to go back in a few months for a long runner to put on my staircase. Everyone was very nice and seemed to really love their business.
