Founded in 1769, Dartmouth is one of the oldest and most respected institutions of higher learning in the United States. A member of the Ivy League, Dartmouth has a long history of dedication to the highest educational ideals. With its world-class faculty and facilities, and nationally and internationally renowned graduate programs in engineering, business, medicine, and the arts & sciences, the school has resources that very few universities can match. In addition, by maintaining a highly flexible quarter-system calendar, and allowing only faculty to teach its undergraduate courses, Dartmouth assures that students have complete and timely access to all that the institution has to offer. Faculty: The professors at Dartmouth are among the leaders in their fields, yet they remain fully committed to teaching. Even the most senior professors teach first-year courses. Recipients of more than $191 million in annual research grants and consistently ranked among the most respected teachers in American higher education, Dartmouth professors are true exemplars of the phrase teacher-scholar. Through course-related discussions, research collaborations, and casual conversation, students get to know their professors as instructors, mentors, colleagues, and friends. Undergraduate Students: Dartmouth students come from all 50 states and over 80 countries. The population is divided almost evenly between men and women. Nearly half of the students identify themselves as students of color (39%) or international students (8%). More than half (52%) of the students receive some form of need-based financial assistance to cover the cost of their education. Dartmouth disburses more than $92 million in need-based aid each year. Prior to Dartmouth, 54% of the students attended public secondary schools and 42% attended private or parochial schools. Once on campus, they take full advantage of the academic resources Dartmouth has to offer, and get involved in the more than 300 officially recognized organizations. |

Miami University, an original Public Ivy, provides a rigorous academic experience in the quintessential college town of Oxford, Ohio. Founded in 1809, the university is located in the Miami Valley region of Ohio and is proud of the ties it maintains with the Miami Tribe, now located in Oklahoma. Here, high achieving, intellectually curious students prepare for success as they are given the opportunities of a large research university while experiencing the personalized teaching, attention, and sense of community found in the nation's best small, liberal arts colleges.A public university, Miami offers a wide range of academic programs. The bachelor's degree is offered in more than 115 areas of study in Oxford, the master's degree in 67 areas; doctoral programs are also available in 12 disciplines. At the school's regional campuses, 18 bachelor's majors and 11 associate's degrees are also offered.Dedicated to fostering an environment of engaged learning for more than 200 years, Miami faculty guide undergraduate students in conducting significant research, facilitating projects with real-world clients, and developing the leadership skills top employers seek most. As a result, Miami has been on the short list of "schools where the faculty has an unusually strong commitment to undergraduate teaching" eight times, every year since 2010. On the 2017 list, Miami ranked second overall and first among public schools nationally. The Oxford campus encompasses more than 2,000 acres. With its distinctive modified Georgian architecture, it is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful campuses in America. The beauty has been maintained and the school's carbon footprint reduced while Miami has efficiently constructed and renovated several academic buildings, residence and dining halls, as well as its student-managed Armstrong Student Center.Enrollment is approximately 17,000 undergraduates and 2,400 graduate students; an additional 5,100 students are enrolled at Miami's regional locations in Hamilton, Middletown, and West Chester, Ohio. |

Founded in Klamath Falls in 1947, Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) is the only public institute of technology in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon Tech provides degree programs in engineering and health technologies, management, communication and applied sciences that prepare students to be effective participants in their professional, public, and international communities through hands-on learning. Oregon Tech has a full-service, residential campus in Klamath Falls, an urban, industry-focused campus in Wilsonville, and a variety of online degree programs.Oregon Tech is best known for its traditional engineering and technological core, but new degree options (and surprising twists on old ones) are remarkably multi-dimensional. A Geomatics student might use GIS technology to survey an archeological excavation, or a Mechanical Engineering student may complete a cross-disciplinary application in sustainability. A Communication Studies major might compile a technical manual for an Oregon Renewable Energy Center project. Information Technology and Health Informatics or Management students might specialize in allied health management.Oregon Techs emphasis on sustainability is a long-held tradition. Home to the nations first undergraduate program in Renewable Energy Engineering, were busy becoming the first geothermally-powered university. Since the 1960s, geothermal resources have heated the main campus situated between Klamath Lake and the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Its a beautiful and environmentally-rich setting for some of the Northwests newest educational facilities utilizing green-building practices. This real-world focus gives our students a competitive edge: 90 percent are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation. Year after year, our baccalaureate graduates earn excellent starting salaries. |

The University of Portland is a Catholic university founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1901. For more than a century, the University had been dedicated to creating a campus community where teachable moments in and out of the classroom are not only prized, but spark lifelong learning. Students learn to think critically, communicate effectively, and respond ethically, so that they can become forward-thinking leaders in any field. Students are prepared not just for a career, but for a life. Located on a beautiful, 150-acre campus seven miles from downtown Portland, Oregon, the University of Portland offers premiere undergraduate and graduate degrees in its Schools of Business, Education, Engineering, and Nursing and its College of Arts and Sciences, with over 40 programs of study for undergraduates. Small class sizes make it easy to ask questions and develop personal connections with professors. There are seven pre-professional programs, including pre-law and pre-medicine, and 18 graduate programs, including advanced degrees in bio-medical engineering, finance, non-profit management, nursing, education, pastoral ministry, and more. The University is ranked third nationally for producing Fulbright U.S. Program scholars among peer institutions, with 59 recipients since 2001, along with seven student finalists for 2017. The University was also ranked 20th nationally among peer institutions in producing Peace Corps volunteers. University students have earned Marshall, Mitchell, and Goldwater fellowships, and faculty have been recognized with awards from the Carnegie Foundation, among them the U.S. Professor of the Year and three Oregon Professor of the Year honors. Over 30% of students take advantage of 16 study abroad opportunities offered in Asia, Australia, Ecuador, and throughout Europe. The University is recognized for its undergraduate research opportunities; its award-winning cross-disciplinary entrepreneurship program; and its focus on interdisciplinary STEM studies. The University offers an academic resource center, which offers peer tutoring and advising and other programs, and an innovation center for students to think creatively. There are digital and computer labs and study rooms available in the Library, and the Career Center helps prepare students by connecting them to work-integrated learning experiences and internships. In 2016, 84% of the senior class took advantage of such opportunities. Other programs include Army and Air Force ROTC and an Honors Program. On a campus with 3,700 undergraduate students, it's easy to make friends, especially when 2,200 students, including most freshmen and sophomores, live on campus in one of ten residence halls. The University's smaller size also makes it easy to get involved - with over 95 student-run clubs, concerts, movies, intermural and club sports, and 16 NCAA Division I varsity team sports, including nationally recognized soccer and track and field programs. Four of the University's coaches were recognized as Coach of the Year by the West Coast Conference. For on campus fun, the new Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center draws students seven days a week and the Pilot House offers pub-style food, big screen TVs, and late night programming. Just minutes from campus is Portland's thriving downtown, which is home to food carts and cafes, start-ups and world renowned companies, and miles of biking and hiking trails. Oregon's coast and Mt. Hood are also just a short drive away. For 22 consecutive years, the University of Portland has been a ranked a top ten university in the West by U.S. News & World Report; as the top private university in Oregon for value by Kiplinger's Personal Finance for the past seven years; and first in Oregon for alumni earnings by BusinessInsider.com. |

Using the city as their classroom, FYLCs explore topics relevant to Portland, immersing students in interdisciplinary, collaborative, hands-on learning. A student-faculty ratio of 12:1 means that professors know students by name and are dedicated to personally guiding them throughout the college experience. Students at Warner Pacific participate in hands-on service throughout the Portland community. Tutoring at local schools, providing facilities improvements to non-profit organizations, and working with the homeless are just a few of the ways that Warner Pacific students help make Portland a better place. Southern Oregon University is well-known as a public liberal arts university committed to affordability and academic excellence. We offer personalized experiences and a curriculum that prepares students to be productive citizens, creative thinkers, and effective problem solvers. Our graduates thrive in a rapidly changing world. At SOU, students receive more than encouragement in their creative endeavors. They are immersed in a culture of thoughtful expression and critical thinking and exposed to various points of view. Conventional thinking is challenged and students thrive in an open, inclusive environment where they are free to speak their minds. Southern Oregon has a long tradition of doing things differently - unfettered by established traditions and open to innovation. This richly visionary and inventive environment benefits all fields of study and provides a common ground for SOU students from around the world. The local arts community, including the internationally acclaimed Oregon Shakespeare Festival, inspires the imaginations of SOU students, faculty and staff. Our culture reflects a critical way of thinking that stretches boundaries. Interactions with students - in teaching, learning, and community-building - are open, honest and constructive. Members of the SOU community push themselves to find creative solutions to the challenges of today and tomorrow. Business, as usual, is nothing more than a starting point on the route to better solutions. Students can learn theory at any university. SOU students connect to their world as they learn, explore and discover. As our university president says, you can imitate or you can innovate. SOU sets its own course, authentic and effective. Learning extends far beyond the classroom for SOU students, whose professors encourage them to put theory into practice, learn more deeply and make immediate contributions when they enter the workforce. Through connected learning experiences - internships, mentor relationships, field study, capstone experiences, volunteerism, civic engagement and more - SOU students translate classroom lessons into real-world meaning. Southern Oregon University's unique geographic location provides its own special learning and recreational opportunities. Our mountains and rivers are more than just an impressive backdrop. They serve as classrooms for outdoor leadership, environmental studies, science research, hospitality, and tourism. Our students step outside to learn first-hand about grazing rights, land management, water quality and wine production. The wild and scenic Rogue River, the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, Crater Lake National Park, Redwood National Park, the Deer Creek Center, the Pacific Crest Trail and more than 20 miles of hiking and biking trails in Ashland's foothills offer outdoor laboratories and memorable experiences within an hour or two of campus. |

In Zhuhai, China we have entered into a cooperative agreement with the Beijing Institute of Technology, to collaboratively educate students on Bryant's U.S. campus and in Zhuhai, China. Bryant is the only American university with a presence in Zhuhai, the first university to establish a partnership with a private institution in China, and the only U.S.-China joint business program in Guangdong Province on the southeast coast. Our international focus comprises only one dimension of our commitment to expanding the world of opportunity for our students. The hallmark of a Bryant education is preparing graduates to achieve their success. Since its founding in 1877, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD or RIZ-dee) has earned an international reputation as the preeminent college of art and design in the United States. The mission of Rhode Island School of Design is to educate students and the public in the creation and appreciation of works of art and design, to discover and transmit knowledge, and to make lasting contributions to a global society through critical thinking, scholarship and innovation. RISD attracts extraordinary people as faculty and students who thrive in its creative culture of studio-based education. Part of that culture is the critique or crit as they are commonly referred to at RISD. Crits are a unique learning mode where students present their work to reviewers, articulate their intentions, and receive feedback. Critiques are core to the development and assessment of creative work. The reviewers might be students and faculty from within or outside the department, or a group that includes external professional reviewers. External critics can also be from other disciplines to bring a fresh perspective to the evaluation of the work. Successful critiques are about perceptive, constructive feedback, rather than judgments about good or bad. The practice and discipline of critique provides a pathway through which students develop a lifelong ability to self-evaluate and to reflect on improving, articulating and evolving their ideas. RISD offers rigorous bachelors and masters degree programs in 19 architecture, design, fine arts and art education majors. With over 450 faculty members who are outstanding artists, designers, and architects, RISD enrolled 1,999 undergraduate and 478 graduate students in Fall 2016. A major cultural institution in Rhode Island, the RISD Museum of Art, was founded in conjunction with the School. The RISD Museum houses more than 100,000 works of fine and decorative art ranging from ancient times to the present. It is the only comprehensive art museum in southeastern New England and, as such, is a vital cultural resource both for RISD and the broader community. With seven curatorial departments, the museum offers a rich and varied program of exhibitions, lectures, tours, workshops and publications. It is dedicated to the interpretation of art and design from diverse cultures, and to educating and inspiring artists and designers, families, scholarly researchers and students of all ages. The RISD library is one of the oldest independent art college libraries in the country. Its circulating collection of more than 160,000 volumes offers unusual depth and richness in the areas of art, architecture, design and photography. The collection provides strong historical and contemporary perspectives, and specialized materials in landscape architecture, ceramics, textiles and jewelry support upper-level research. RISDs specialized library is also noted for its artists books collection, its rare books, some 400 periodical subscriptions and collections of outstanding visual resources. RISD's Edna W. Lawrence Nature Lab is a unique resource for examining, exploring and understanding the patterns, structures and interactions of design in nature. A 1920 graduate of RISD and a long-time faculty member, Edna Lawrence founded the Nature Lab in 1937. Since then its collections, along with specialized microscopes and other equipment for studying them, have continued to grow to include more than 80,000 specimens and other items of natural history. The nature lab also houses live animals and plants, a natural history reference library and clipping file, and archives of slides, tapes, videos and x-ray photographs. Students may borrow selected objects as reference for studio projects. |

Augustana University, founded in 1860, is a selective, private, residential, comprehensive university (liberal arts and professional) affiliated with the Lutheran church. Challenging academics, a friendly, vibrant community and reasonable cost come together to create an exceptional value for our 1800 students. The Augustana community (faculty, alumni, students, administrators, and staff) strives to embody Five Core Values: 1) Christian - As a university of the church, we welcome all faiths, encourage spiritual growth, and relate Christian faith and ethics to learning and service. 2) Liberal Arts - Augustana provides an education of enduring worth by affirming that teaching and learning are central and life-long; the breadth of our curriculum provides students with the skills and flexibility necessary for successful careers in a complex world. 3) Excellence - Engaged students, great teaching, high standards, and integrity lead to successful outcomes. 4) Community - Augustana fosters an environment of participation, caring, respect, and empowerment. 5) Service - Students enter to learn and leave to serve. The heart of the Augustana experience is a rigorous academic program taught by a remarkable collection of professors. All are passionate about their disciplines and their teaching. Publishing, conducting research, and attaining national prominence have helped to create the rich liberal arts environment that exists on campus today. More than 80 percent of Augustanas full-time tenured and tenure-track professors hold the highest degree in their field. The university offers more than 50 majors and pre-professional specializations within a 4-1-4 academic calendar. Extensive internship, study-abroad and undergraduate research programs supplement the curriculum. Civitas, the universitys honors program, provides an environment for students who desire an even more challenging and rigorous intellectual experience.Located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a city of 180,000 and one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in America, Augustana is in a prime location for anyone wishing to live in a great small city that offers valuable experience in their field before graduation. Sioux Falls is the business, health care, research, shopping, entertainment, sports, and cultural center of the region. Our largest employers include Sanford Health, Avera Health, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and the Sioux Falls School District. The city is also home to four semi-professional sports teams: the Canaries (baseball), Storm (arena football), Stampede (hockey), and SkyForce (basketball). These organizations represent a small sampling of the many internships, practicums, and part-time jobs that enhance and support the education of Augustana students. For example, our students may join scientists from around the world at the EROS Data Center to work on United Nations projects and to study satellite imagery or do cancer research with a physician at Sanford Health. For outdoor recreation enthusiasts, Sioux Falls has a fantastic 22-mile bike trail that loops around the city following the Big Sioux River, with several adjoining public parks. Great Bear Recreation Park offers downhill and cross-country skiing as well as snowboarding in the winter and hiking trails in the summer. Sioux Falls is also home to a number of golf courses, a water park, and of course, Falls Park, the citys namesake. Finally, South Dakota is known for its spectacular hunting and fishing. Augustana participates in NCAA Division II athletics in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and has recently made many improvements to its athletic facilities. Students are involved in outstanding performing and visual arts programs, campus ministry, service learning, student leadership, environmental awareness, and more. |

Dakota State University is a national leader in cyber education, offering technology-focused majors such as cyber security, cyber operations and network and security administration. We also offer technology-infused degrees in business, arts and design, science, math, English for new media and healthcare. A prime is example is our education program, in which all majors earn their K-12 education technology endorsement. Our students are exceptional leaders, having been awarded Google Women Techmakers and Goldwater scholarships, and Scholarships for Women Studying Information Security (SWSIS). Others have completed research work at top labs in the nation, such as the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and the Georgia Institute of Technology. The Dakota State CyberCorps program, funded by a National Science Foundation grant, is the largest in the nation.Undergraduate and graduate students have opportunities for unique research projects, such as a collaborative project with a local healthcare system, in which academic researchers are studying real-time patient data to determine underlying causes for various illnesses such as cancer or diabetes. DSU student researchers have presented results of their scientific work at international conferences, including the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry World Congress (SETAC) and the American Society of Microbiology annual international meeting. Originally founded in 1881 as the first teacher education institution in the Dakota Territory, Dakota State University evolved into a premier technology institution after a 1984 decision to refocus our mission. Only twenty years later, our technology curriculum was recognized by the National Security Agency (NSA) as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Operations. The university now has four such distinctions, holding CAEs in Cyber Defense Education, Cyber Defense Research, Cyber Operations, and as one of four universities in the nation designated as a Consultation Cyber Defense Regional Resource Center. DSU is also the only university in the country that partners with the NSA National Cryptologic School. Through this agreement, NSA military and civilian employees may finish their undergraduate and graduate degrees in cyber operations. Faculty and students also run some of the nation's largest GenCyber summer camps for middle and high school students and teachers. With an enrollment of 3,190, students can choose the traditional college experience in a safe, supportive learning community on our 61-acre campus in Madison, S.D., or take the distance courses online as offered in a variety of majors and degree levels. Eighteen of DSU's undergraduate programs and all of our graduate programs are offered online. Both the on-campus and online degrees have been recognized for their quality and affordability. Students have opportunities to be involved in clubs or organizations such as the new Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization, or CEO, which held their first Startup Weekend in 2017. Some groups correspond to specific fields of study, such as cyber defense teams or Teachers of Tomorrow. Students may also join the staff of the online-only newspaper "The Trojan Times," or the theatre club which brings awareness to national and global social issues through their productions.
