UCLA offers virtually unlimited opportunities for inquiry, discovery, and education -- and yet is a close community that provides a real sense of belonging. The campus is home to world-renowned faculty who teach in 216 undergraduate and graduate majors, with more than two dozen of these academic programs ranked among the top 20 in their disciplines. The faculty provide more than 5,000 courses annually, with two-thirds of undergraduate classes having fewer than 30 students. The undergraduate experience can begin with a year-long Freshman Cluster Course, a stimulating team-taught exploration of one of 10 challenging interdisciplinary topics. In addition, 200 Fiat Lux Seminars -- where freshmen have priority enrollment -- are taught by senior faculty in small-group settings of approximately 20 students. Undergraduates also conduct research as early as their freshman year, with more than half of UCLA students graduating with research experience in the humanities, social sciences, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) disciplines. Outside the classroom, UCLA offers more than 1,000 student organizations providing students with ample opportunity to explore their interests, express their opinions, and have their voices heard. Community service is a cornerstone of undergraduate education at UCLA. Students can connect with opportunities through programs at the Volunteer Center, through more than 220 student groups engaged in community service, or on Volunteer Day, which brings together 8,000 UCLA volunteers annually. UCLA also encourages students to study abroad -- more than 2,000 do so each year -- with more than 392 programs in 43 countries. UCLA is home to leading research centers and institutes, top performing arts programs, an elite Division I athletics program, and the preeminent hospital in the Western United States. No other university can match such a diverse mix of academic excellence and life experience. UCLA is the place where students can believe there are no barriers -- and learn how to prove it. |

The University of Virginia offers the vast intellectual resources of a major research university, but fosters the intimacy, sense of community, and dedication to undergraduate life typically found at a small liberal arts college. While it is public, and welcomes women and men of every background, it also is highly selective and attracts students who seek challenges. Students' motivation to achieve is matched by a culture of mutual support, openness, civility, and above all, integrity and trust. With its balance -- between cutting-edge scholarship and first-rate teaching, between rigorous academics and rewarding activities -- U.Va. offers an undergraduate experience with few equals. |

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire prepares students to succeed in a connected world influenced by global economic and social forces. It is our goal that before graduation, every student experience at least one of the outstanding hands-on learning opportunities that set us apart -- including study abroad, internships, domestic or international cultural immersion programs, and faculty-student research. Our students earn top-level honors, including Rhodes, Truman and Goldwater scholarships. Over the past decade, 19 UW-Eau Claire students have received prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards -- placing it in the top 15 U.S. master's universities for number of student Fulbright grant recipients. The American Institute of Physics has recognized our physics and astronomy department as one of eight nationally that are successfully using best practices to place bachelor's degree earners in the STEM workforce. Our business program has distinguished itself through its ACCSB International accreditation -- a mark of quality achieved by fewer than 5 percent of all business schools in the world. UW-Eau Claire has a nationally recognized undergraduate student-faculty research program. By their senior year, nearly 40 percent of all students have worked with faculty on research and other scholarly projects. Results from these projects have been published in prestigious journals (such as the Journal of Marketing Development and Competitiveness, PLOS ONE, and Chemical and Engineering News) and are presented by students at regional, national and international conferences. Our highly respected music program features faculty and students who perform worldwide, and our Jazz Ensemble I has been honored seven times (most recently in 2017) with the national Down Beat Award for Best Undergraduate College Big Band. UW-Eau Claire offers many programs that allow students to study, live and work in international settings, as well as programs that bring international students to campus. UW-Eau Claire ranks 29th nationally among public and private master's-level schools in the overall number of students it sends abroad, and it is the only master's-level school in Wisconsin or Minnesota among the top 40 U.S. institutions in that category. A growing number of education students complete their student teaching abroad. Many students earn scholarships through competitive programs to study and conduct research abroad, and more are completing internships in international settings. Students also are having meaningful domestic cultural immersion experiences, ranging from civil rights pilgrimages in the South to volunteer work in Wisconsin tribal schools to research in Western mountain ranges. UW-Eau Claire is one of just a handful of public regional universities in the country -- and the only one in Wisconsin -- to include service-learning as a graduation requirement. UW-Eau Claire has been named seven times since 2006 to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. Each year UW-Eau Claire students generate more than 365,000 community-service hours, and the value of their service totals more than $8.2 million a year. UW-Eau Claire is a signatory to the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment. The Princeton Review included UW-Eau Claire as one of just two UW System regional universities on its 2017 list of 156 "academically outstanding" Best Midwestern Colleges. In Washington Monthly's 2016 "Best Bang for the Buck" rankings, UW-Eau Claire ranked first among all University of Wisconsin System universities and in the top 10 percent of Midwest master's level schools that help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices. In 2017, Victory Media named UW-Eau Claire a Military Friendly School for the eighth year in a row, as well as a Military Spouse Friendly school. UW-Eau Claire also was included in the Military Times "Best for Vets: Colleges 2017" list. |

Ninety-eight percent of students are already employed when they first enroll. For these programs, all of the online classes are recorded and archived. Students should also note that the online MBA programs at Florida State University are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the gold standard of business school accreditation. |
Florida State University’s College of Business offers an online Master of Business Administration (MBA) that equips students with the skills, expertise and professional network needed to advance in today’s fast-paced business world. FSU was a pioneer in the online MBA market, and the quality shows, graduates say. “It’s close to a self-paced study program, which affords maximum flexibility without sacrificing standards,” said Andrew Marshall, a 2011 graduate and military veteran. Among the program’s benefits: Classes are taught by the same world-renowned professors who teach on campus. Online students can complete the degree in seven semesters. Students pay the same price, plus applicable fees, for courses regardless of location. Students may customize their MBA degree by pursuing a specialization, such as management information sciences or real estate finance and analysis. FSU also now offers a GMAT waiver to highly qualified applicants. Most of FSU’s online students say they see immediate benefits because they are able to apply course lessons on the job right away. “This is the perfect program at the best price for one seeking an online MBA while working full time,” said Andrew Kreiger, a Boeing engineer and 2016 graduate. “When I started researching online MBA programs, many schools were as much as two to three times the price of FSU.” He was also pleased with the program’s flexibility. “The workload and expectations of the program fit perfectly for a full-time working professional. I work full time and travel anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of that time, and this program is set up perfectly to accommodate such a schedule.” |

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, embodies the historical development of higher education in the United States. From its colonial inception as Queens College in 1766, the institution grew to become Rutgers College in 1825. In 1864 it was designated the states land-grant institution. Assuming university status in 1924, it was further transformed by legislative acts in 1945, and in 1956 the institution became Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. 1989 marked another historic milestone when the university became a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), connoting its position as one of the major public comprehensive research universities in the U.S., and the only one of its kind in New Jersey. On July 1, 2013, the New Jersey Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act went into effect, integrating Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, with most units of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). The integration of the legacy elements of UMDNJ into Rutgers has created a fourth unit, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), which consists of a number of schools and units located on various sites but closely aligned with the campus in New Brunswick. Undergraduate students in New Brunswick enroll in the School of Arts and Sciences, the liberal arts college, and/or in one of the professional schools: School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (formerly Cook College); Mason Gross School of the Arts; Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-New Brunswick; School of Communication and Information; School of Engineering; Edward J.
